John Olsen

Hi and thanks for dropping by. I was born in Long Beach and raised in Torrance where I went to school and graduated from North Torrance High School (GO Saxons!). I later went to El Camino College where I earned an AA Degree in Business Marketing, before transferring to the University of Redlands where I earned a BA Degree in Business Management.

I am 2nd generation State Farm Agent. My father was an Agent in Gardena and my uncle was an Agent in Vista. We’ve been serving the South Bay and all of California since 1984 – something for which I am extremely proud. But my greatest sources of pride our my children and grandchildren. I am the proud father of daughter, Terra and son, Matt and two Grandsons, Woodson and Tatum. In my spare time, I enjoy cycling, hiking, working out and, most of all, being a loving and dedicated Dad and Grandpa. I’m also a classic car buff and rarely miss an opportunity to attend a classic car show. I also enjoy giving back to my community by supporting City of Hope, Ronald McDonald House, Wounded Warriors and Martha’s Kitchen.

I am blessed to have an amazing team that is ready to serve your insurance needs. My team includes Martha Hurtado and Rosa Lopez. Both are bilingual in English and Spanish.
